Gateway Classic Cars Louisville Showroom is proud to present this 1972 Ford Mustang Convertible for sale. 1972 may be remember as a more serious time with the Debut of the “Godfather” in movie theaters and President Nixon visits China, an important step in formally normalizing relations between the United States and China. 1972 would also begin the end of the Muscle Car wars – Federal regulations required cars burn unleaded fuel. That meant lower compression engines and less power. This particular Mustang was therefore equipped from the factory gas sipping two barrel carbureted 302 V8. While the horsepower is not earth shattering, it still has good acceleration and makes for a nice sunny fun day cruiser. Originally Grabber Green, this Convertible has been painted a bright red and it looks exceptional. Under the hood is the original V8, it has been mated to a C4 automatic and makes it an absolute breeze to drive. Speaking of breeze, putting the top down only requires the release of 2 latches and then the flip of a switch. Nothing quite beats a nice drive in country with the top down and your significant other along for the ride. The top is in very good shape with no rips or tears. The plastic glass window is still very clear which means the top is fairly fresh piece. The black interior is still in excellent condition with and looks to be new judging it current condition. So if you’re ready to put the top down and let the sun shine, shine, call or email us today for details on this beauty! Options for this 1972 Ford Mustang Convertible includes; AM Radio, Power Convertible Top, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior and Factory Rally Wheels wrapped in Radial Tires.
