Confident Kentucky is an initiative to enhance the security of all identity credentials while offering new options for travelers to stay on the move. Beginning in select counties January 2019 and rolling out across the state by spring, new Kentucky licenses and personal IDs will have a new look to support state-of-the-art security features, arrive in the mail, have an optional eight-year lifespan and have new pricing. A brand new Voluntary Travel ID that meets new federal requirements to board U.S. flights and enter bases will be available for those who prefer a single-credential for multiple uses. Watch to learn more about the changes and visit drive.ky.gov.
