The Derby Diversity & Business Summit will be kicked off by a welcome reception hosted by Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP, a regional business law firm with a national reach. The mission of the Derby Diversity Business Summit (DDBS) is to support organizations who work to advance Diverse Owned Businesses. To accomplish our mission, we identify projects in which we can provide funding that supports education, business development and training initiatives for organizations committed to the advancement of Diverse Owned Businesses. A portion of the Derby Diversity & Business Summit proceeds will be donated to the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Kentucky to improve and expand its signature GROW program – an initiative designed to improve operations and strategic growth for diverse owned businesses within the Kentuckiana community.

The Advertising, Public Relations and Related Services industry subsector comprises establishments primarily engaged in creating advertising campaigns and placing such advertising in periodicals, newspapers, radio and television, or other media. These establishments are organized to provide a full range of services, including advice, creative services, and account management, production of advertising material, media planning, and buying. Summit activities will be held at the Galt House Hotel in Downtown Louisville, Kentucky. The occasion will bring together elite Women, LGBTBE, Minority and Veteran Owned Enterprises to network, develop, and enjoy Louisville and one of the world’s finest events – the historic Kentucky Derby. By attending, guests will have the ability to attend development seminars, panel discussions, and even hear from highly sought after speakers to share their experiences in the business world of diversity. As of 2010-2014, the total population of Ross County is 77,552, which is 5.74% more than it was in 2000. The population growth rate is higher than the state average rate of 1.83% and is much lower than the national average rate of 11.61%. The Ross County population density is 111.90 people per square mile, which is much lower than the state average density of 257.90 people per square mile and is higher than the national average density of 82.73 people per square mile. The most prevalent race in Ross County is white, which represent 90.38% of the total population. The average Ross County education level is lower than the state average and is lower than the national average. DDBS activities will be held at the Galt House Hotel – The Official Hotel Sponsor of the Kentucky Derby in Downtown Louisville, Kentucky.
